About Me!
I am Meiko, formerly known as Smileyjkl if there is any confusion. I am the webmaster here at Meiko anime. You want to know about me? Well I'm a college student who is possibly a little too obsessed with anime.I do do other things though. I'm kinda into science- especially environmental.. well, I am an environmental science major, so that would make sence. I like to read, if you ever want something good to read...e-mail me i can give you a ton of good suggestions....and I like video games, like Pokemon, Final Fanasy, Lunar and Chronotrigger, currently I'm playing Legend of Dragoon. I'm in the Choir and the Anime Club here at St. Mike's. I like hanging out with my friends (Jen, Katie, Beth, Christine, and anyone else im forgetting hi!) and I like taking long romantic walks on the beach....j/k....really.... I go to my church youth group when I'm at home. And that about sums up my life.

What anime do I watch? Well anything on TOONAMI, Fushigi Yuugi, Slayers, Blue Seed, Neon Genesis Evangalion, Ranma 1/2 and basically anything else I can get my hands on, either from the internet or from friends. Me and some of my friends have now started an anime club at my college, St. Michael's. We watch a ton of different stuff, its really a good time. I'm working on making a small anime collection of my own, but I'm really too cheep to get alot. Right now I own Marmalade Boy, but I'm working on getting a few more at the moment. Movies I suggest (you know you were going to ask..)? Princess Mononoke, Tenchi in Love, Vampire Hunter D, Ninja Scroll (but not for the kids... really). I'm just getting into manga. I just bought my first one: Marmolade Boy.... I think I am hooked... but man are graphic novels expencive... and mine was cheep compared to my friend's Ranma one (which I will hopefully will get to steal soon to read!)

PokemonPerhaps I should address my standing on Pokemon, I have had several nasty comments about my site and the fact that I have Pokemon information on my site. Although Pokemon is certainly not one of my favorite shows (anymore) no matter how people criticize it, I will still continue to put pokemon info on my site. First of all it was the first anime I started watching, and I have a sort of sentimental feeling toward it. Second of all, although it lacks plot, you can still get a good laugh out of it every once in a while (even if it is over the stupidity of the show). Third of all, I am still in love with the Game Boy game, in which I own red, silver and crystal (errr....long story....remind me to tell you sometime...). So if you still feel you need to e-mail me and vent your anger about Pokemon to me feel free, I get a good laugh out of it.
